Join us for AUSB’s Summer Writing Institute!
Sunday, July 28 through Saturday, August 3, 2013
Hone your writing skills and enhance your craft at the Antioch University Santa Barbara Summer Writing Institute (SWI) at our beautiful downtown campus.
- Focus on Fiction, Non-Fiction, Screenwriting, or Writing for Young People.
- Daily workshops with a leading writer in your genre (10 students max).
- Learn to be more effective in your writing practice.
- Develop an appreciation for your unique style and voice.
- Discover opportunities in today’s changing publishing environment.
- Forge valuable new professional relationships.
This weeklong intensive seminar features daily 3-hour workshops in your chosen genre, taught by high-caliber, award-winning authors and screenwriters who will provide individual, focused attention in small groups of no more than 10 students.
Directed by former Santa Barbara Writers’ Conference director Marcia Meier, SWI combines intimate workshops, networking opportunities, and evening readings by our illustrious faculty and guest authors. The full SWI community (120 participants plus instructors) will have the chance to socialize at receptions and readings, with plenty of free time to explore all the delights of the beautiful “American Riviera.”
