Eight diverse students have embarked upon the year in which they will research topics of personal and professional interest. Unlike previous cohorts that were almost exclusively public school teachers, this group demonstrates the variety of professional involvements that are supported by a Master of Arts degree in Education. Two of the eight students are in fact newly credentialed Multiple Subject teachers and one other student is re-entering the teaching profession after several years away. Two cohort members have just completed their BA Degrees at Antioch and are involved in early childhood education. One gentleman is a community activist and one student is currently with the Santa Barbara Transit agency as a policy instructor, now exploring other career options. Finally, one student is returning to school to EARN HER Master’s Degree and Teaching Credentials. Upon completion of their degrees all will have contributed to the body of knowledge pertinent to their respective topics and their professional growth goals.
