Clinical Training

The clinical traineeship takes students out of the classroom and brings them into the community to work with clients, professional psychotherapists and peers from many schools and disciplines. The program allows students to gain knowledge and develop psychotherapeutic skills by providing services in a variety of settings such as non-profit, government, educational, health care or rehabilitation sites.

Antioch's Psychology Program maintains training agreements with over 50 practicum placements, serving a variety of populations in the tri-county area (Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties.) While enrolled at Antioch students earn a portion of the 3,000 hours of experience required for the MFT licensure. The balance is earned in a post-Master's internship.
