Admissions Recruiter/Counselor - SM

ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY SANTA MARIA

Part Time 10 – 15 Hours per Week

The Admissions Recruiter/Counselor is responsible for promoting Antioch University Santa Barbara’s undergraduate and graduate programs to prospective students at Alan Hancock Community College. The Admissions Recruiter/Counselor is familiar with all degree program requirements, polices and procedures.

Maintain detailed knowledge of degree programs. Coordinate and implement recruitment activities. Develop, present and distribute admission information. Disperse promotional material to prospective applicants. Refer potential applicants to the Santa Barbara Admissions Office.

Bachelor’s Degree required. 3 years of admissions/recruitment experience. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills, Strong, organizational skills. Understanding of marketing. Computer skills including word processing and database experience. Knowledge of Datatel and Hobson preferred. Driver's license required.

Admissions Director

Antioch University Santa Barbara is seeking a full time Admissions Director to be responsible for management of admissions to ensure recruitment goals are achieved through strong leadership, coordination of staff efforts, delivery of excellent customer service to all constituents including students, faculty and support departments, and provision of admissions management reports and analysis to university administration. Responsible for all efforts related to student marketing and assessment and development of future market opportunities to maximize student recruitment objectives.

Job Specifications:

Develop and maintain highly positive external relations activities relative to the effective recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate students.
Determine optimal staff structure to support recruitment and admissions efforts
Supervise admissions staff
Manage inquiry processes and follow-up activities
Oversee tracking systems at all stages of recruitment processes
Analysis of inquiry sources, including effectiveness of all outreach and advertising efforts
Training and development of admissions recruiters/counselors
Develop and manage admissions department budgets, vendor relations, expense activities and financial planning
Enhance and provide guidance on web, radio, direct mail, and print advertising tactics

Desirable Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field
5 – 7 years related work experience preferably in a higher education setting with experience in working with adult student population
Management, supervisor and budgetary experience required
Understanding of the operations of a liberal arts institution
Demonstrate clear evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of Antioch students and community.

Hours of Employment:

This is a full time position. A 35-hour per week work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor. Some early evening or weekend hours are required.

Part-time Faculty; MA in Organizational Management

The graduate program in Organizational Management is looking for experienced, enthusiastic part-time faculty to teach our new leadership based curriculum. Classes are offered at night, weekends, and online. Some of the courses are the following: Ethics, Organizational Theory, Models and Systems of Complex Organizations, Diversity and Global Pluralism, Leading Strategic Change, Leading Organizations for Sustainability, Leadership and High Performance Teams, and Human Resources.

Positions require a master's degree or doctorate from a regionally accredited university.
