Tina Kistler, BA, MA
Tina Kistler earned her M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is Associate Professor of Communication at Santa Barbara City College, and co-director of the Social Science Pathways Project. She is also an adjunct instructor in liberal studies at Antioch University in Santa Barbara. Professor Kistler has served as the faculty advisor to the Students’ Coalition at SBCC, working with students to advocate for social justice and human rights issues. Her projects include the Ubumwe Center, which supports Rwandan genocide survivors with disabilities, and Invisible Children, which provides education for former child soldiers in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
