Sylvan Butera Rich, MA
Sylvan Butera Rich, MA, has a Masters Degree in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles with an emphasis in urban education, and a Bachelors Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in English Literature. She has a multiple subject credential and has taught third, fourth, and fifth grade including a year in Special Education as a Resource Specialist. Sylvie started her educational career as a Teach for America-Corps member in East Los Angeles. Her interests include working with new teachers and graduate students, guiding and mentoring their application of educational theory to practice.
After working 7 years as the School Psychologist for the Goleta Union School District, Kellie Butkiewicz has recently become the Clinical Mental Health Specialist at Santa Barbara County SELPA. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California Santa Barbara. In 2005 Kellie went on to get her Pupil and Personnel Services Credential and her Master of Arts in Education and School Psychology from the University of California Riverside. At Antioch University, Kellie teaches TEP 601B Teaching and Accommodating Students with Disabilities and TESE 509 Assessment in Special Education.
