Len Rushfield, MA, ABD

Adjunct faculty

Len earned his MA at Columbia University, followed by a Fulbright Fellowship at the University of Ceylon in Colombo, Sri Lanka. As an international banker in New York, California, Asia, and Central Europe, he was actively involved in start-ups of new ventures as a senior officer at American Express Bank, Bankers Trust Company and Bear Stearns.  Len’s consulting practice, Asia Development Partners, specializes in for-profit entrepreneurial start-ups emphasizing socially responsible objectives in the United States and in Asia. Len has extensive experience teaching finance, management, international business and strategy courses at several MBA Programs located in Southern California. In the non-profit sector he has served as a Board Director for the American Express Foundation in Southern California, the Los Angeles Theatre Center, Shelter Partnership in Los Angeles and the Latino Theater Company. As a Bank Director he has served on the boards of American Express Bank International; Safra Bank of California; American Premier Bank; and US Metro Bank. Len’s wife and adult children share his interests and have current leadership responsibilities with cutting-edge businesses and non-profit and arts institutions. Len and his family, including his wonderful grandchildren – Alexei and Katrina – reside in Los Angeles.
