Jenny Hislop, MA, LMFT, received her MA in Marriage and family therapy from John F. Kennedy University in San Jose, and her BA in music and religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Jenny has worked in a variety of community mental health settings, school based programs, and outpatient clinics, with clinical experience working with high-risk, disenfranchised youth and their families, severe and persistent mental illness, and underserved populations. Jenny currently works in private practice, and also donates clinical services to New Beginnings Counseling Center.

Jenny is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Benin, West Africa 2003-2005) and is passionate about social justice and multiculturalism. She has facilitated conference workshops and presentations on the topic of white privilege in clinical training, supervision, and practice, and the development of authentic and accountable relationships within and across cultures.
