James A. Lisi, MBA

James A. Lisi earned an MBA from UC Irvine and a BS in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.

He began his career in aerospace manufacturing and international product marketing at a Fortune 100 firm in Costa Mesa. Eventually he acquired his own business in Santa Barbara, leading it for fifteen years while consulting part-time in business valuation and strategic planning to small businesses and private equity firms. Mr. Lisi is currently a partner at American ValueMetrics Corporation and a commercial real estate investor. 

In 1991, Mr. Lisi was selected as a delegate to exchange business management information with companies in Russia, Latvia, and Estonia. He also served as interim Executive Director of the United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County and has been active on several non-profit boards of directors, where he has served in executive roles. He is active in the start-up community as a sponsor and teacher at Wild Horse Labs. He currently serves as a trustee for the UCSB Foundation, is an executive committee member for the Clean Business Investment Summit, and is president of the UCSB Affiliates.
