Jaclyn Deilgat, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides clinical services to individuals, families, couples, and groups. She specializes in treating individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, substance abuse disorders, severe mental illness, and individuals who are struggling with their sexuality or gender identity. She has been proving therapeutic services since 2008.

Jaclyn is the clinical director at Collective Connections Counseling and Consultation Services in the San Diego area. She is currently the sub-investigator and lead certified clinical rater at a company that conducts clinical research trials investigating novel pharmaceutical agents for treating diverse psychiatric illnesses. She also conducts cognitive and psychological assessments. Additionally, Jaclyn regularly attends investigator meetings hosted by pharmaceutical companies where she receives specialized training in the neurochemical and neurobiological underpinnings of psychiatric medication.

She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute with an emphasis in Depth Psychology, her Masters in Counseling Psychology from National University (a program designed towards marriage and family therapy), and her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jaclyn has conducted research in cultural and social psychology laboratories and is currently working on research that is germane to depth, social, and cognitive psychology with a specific focus on defense mechanisms, archetypes, schemas, cognitive distortions, and socio-political-historical influences on psychological functioning.

Jaclyn teaches various doctoral and continuing education courses; hosts lectures, seminars, and workshops; participates in community outreach; and is a quality assurance delegate for The California Psychology Internship Council (CAPIC).
