Adjunct Faculty


Hymon Johnson, PhD, Professor Emeritus, Antioch University, is currently the Director, of the Institute of Sathya Sai Education-USA as well as Adjunct Faculty, at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a founding and current board member of the Interfaith Initiative of Santa Barbara County and Former president and board chair, of the National Society for Experiential Education.

Dr. Johnson is a former professor/lecturer at Northern Illinois University, University of Nairobi (Kenya), California State University (Northridge), University of California (UCSB), and Fielding University. He has also worked as administrative analyst and student affairs administrator at UCSB (Chancellor’s staff, Educational Opportunity Program Associate Director, founder and first director of the Campus Learning Assistance and Services Department. He is also the initiator and first board chair of UCSB’s Multicultural Center)

Dr. Johnson’s teaching and research concentrations have included a variety of areas in management, leadership, and education, as well as comparative philosophy, comparative religion, and ethics. His background in ethics and comparative philosophy provide an extraordinary entry to our education programs at AUSB.
