Adam MacDougall

Adjunct Faculty

Adam MacDougall received his BA with an emphasis in World Literature and Cultural Studies from UC Santa Cruz, an MA in English with an emphasis in Teaching Writing from Humboldt State University, and a M.Ed. and teaching credential in English from UC Santa Barbara. He has taught at the college-level primarily at SBCC for five years in the English and English Skills departments, and is currently earning a certificate in Postsecondary Reading and Learning from Cal State Fullerton.

Adam’s teaching experience ranges from tutoring in a variety of institutions, teaching ninth and tenth grade high school English, an online literature and composition course, and developmental writing through freshman composition.  Adam has taught Academic Writing and The Art of Persuasion and Social Change at Antioch.

Adam grew up in Santa Barbara, is married, and has three wonderful children.
