Teacher Credentialing

If you are looking for a credential program that provides a network of support as you learn to be the teacher you dream of being, then there is no other Teacher Credentialing and Master’s in Education program quite like Antioch’s.

Antioch University Santa Barbara offers two programs: a multiple subject teacher credentialing program and an education specialist credential in mild to moderate disabilities. The two credential programs are blended so that candidates can earn both credentials or learn from each other as they specialize in either mild to moderate disabilities or elementary education.

Our specially designed curriculum prepares professional teachers to meet the needs of all kinds of learners inside the classroom. It also provides the skills and knowledge in leadership to become an active voice in education reform.

Students say that our program is rigorous! But they also say that Antioch’s emphasis on intellectual development, ecological literacy, diversity and how to create caring inclusive learning communities well prepares them for their real-world teaching careers. Our graduates are highly sought after for employment and become active participants in their schools and communities.
