Through our 80/40 Bridge Program, students in North County are able to complete their B.A. degree through Antioch University Santa Barbara in Santa Maria on the Allan Hancock College campus. The concentrations offered in Santa Maria are Applied Psychology, Entrepreneurship & Multimedia Communication, and Child, Family and Society. These programs are offered in a cohort delivery model. Students who have completed 80 transferable semester units (that equals 120 quarter credits) can complete their B.A. degree in 7 quarters going to school part-time on the weekends.

Antioch’s undergraduate concentration in Applied Psychology is designed to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of the theory and practice of psychology. A strong emphasis is placed on the contexts that influence the behavior and development of children, adolescents, adults and families.
The concentration in Applied Psychology is especially designed for students who want to work in the field of mental health and related areas. The intensive and well-rounded curriculum also provides an excellent foundation for continued graduate study in clinical psychology as well as other psychology related areas.
Building upon Antioch University’s long history and tradition of experiential learning, our faculty brings real world experience and context to the classroom. Our Psychology faculty includes professionals from the fields of mental health intervention and clinical psychology who practice in both private and organizational settings.

Antioch’s concentration in Child, Family and Society provides a responsive educational program for experienced early educators or those just beginning their career. Antioch’s experiential approach recognizes the value of life experience while offering carefully sequenced courses designed to challenge assumptions, enhance knowledge and promote critical participation in the field.
CFS takes a systems approach to the important role of families and schools as nurturing settings to support thriving child development, in a fast changing society. Within a community of learners, CFS students will explore contemporary issues in early childhood education, child development and learning theory, inquiry and contemporary research in ECE, models of early education, developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children and the important laws and requirements related to the field. Specific focus will be given to the partnership between families and school settings, access and inclusion, and cultural competence.
With an Antioch BA degree, concentration in Child Family and Society, you will be prepared to be a leader and advocate for the holistic development of young children in your classroom, your school and your community.
