Same mission. Brand new medium. AUSB’s student-run magazine Odyssey has gone online!

The heart of the Odyssey remains the same. The Odyssey is our student-driven production designed to provide an opportunity for members of the AUSB community – students, faculty, staff, and alumni alike – to share their critical and creative voices. And it is your source for news, reviews, arts, and literature.

But as of Spring 2014, the Odyssey transitioned from a print publication to an online platform, Odyssey Online. It is AUSB’s venture into original content creation and distribution, allowing for students to work with a variety of contemporary and interactive digital mediums and gain real-world experience as they understand the ins-and-outs of WordPress web software and SEO content.

The content of Odyssey Online varies greatly in format and subject, but focuses on local events, happenings, and social justice issues in the Santa Barbara community. It also highlights AUSB faculty and alumni who committed to the common good and represent the core values of Antioch.

Odyssey Online is always accepting submissions for the website, on topics including: current news, literary works, photography, artwork, reviews, or pieces on social justice, business, health, or human interest. Whether you are a student in one of our various programs, faculty, staff member, or alumni, we would love to hear from you. Please email ausb.the.odyssey@gmail.com with comments, questions, and/or submissions.

“Odyssey Online is truly a platform for the entire AUSB community to have a voice”
– Guy Smith, MA, Core Faculty member and Chair of the BA program.
