Antioch's B.A. program developed seven structured areas of concentration — similar to majors — based on the most popular student choices. In addition to Business Management, Communication, Creative Writing, Liberal Studies, Psychology, Social Service Administration, and the new Early Childhood Education concentrations, you also can create your own program to stretch your career in a new direction or fuel your enthusiasm for a specialized academic focus.
At Antioch, you can design a program as individual as you are. Together with a faculty mentor, you can combine areas and topics of interest to create a unqiue concentration all your own.
To provide a basic foundation of core competencies, the following courses are required:
|
LBS302 |
Educational Foundations and Academic Planning |
| LBS371W | Online Communication & E-ibrary Research |
| LBS303A | Service Learning in the Community |
| LBS348A | Survey Research and Statistics |
| LBS349A | Experimental Design and Statistics |
| LBS308 | Capstone Seminar |
| COM310 | Academic Writing (if English Composition is not transferred in) |
Students must earn 40-80 units in their declared area of concentration. Click on the areas of concentration at left to explore your options.
