Curriculum

In their Master’s coursework students are exposed to the knowledge base of the profession. All of the required courses meet the educational requirements of the Board of Behavioral Sciences (California Business and Professions Code  4980.36) to ensure eligibility for licensure in California. Our clinical skills courses use a “hands on” approach to learning skills that are then put into practice in community training sites.

In the traineeship, students work with clients, professional psychotherapists, and peers from many schools and disciplines. A variety of settings such as non-profit, government, educational, health care, or rehabilitation sites accept Antioch students for training. Antioch’s M.A. in Clinical Psychology Program maintains training agreements with over more than 100 practicum placements, serving a variety of populations in the tri- county area (Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties.)
