Academic Programs

Richard Whitney, Dean of Academic ProgramsAntioch University is beginning its fourth decade as part of the Santa Barbara community.

We offer an exciting educational experience for adult students. Our outstanding faculty is dedicated to academic excellence in a campus environment that supports a truly intimate education focused on the student as a whole person. To foster students' learning and development, we provide narrative evaluations of student work rather than letter grades. We never lose sight of the student as a unique individual.

I invite you to visit our campus and experience first hand the excitement of an Antioch education. You'll find a curriculum that is contemporary and engaging. You'll find lively conversation that stimulates involvement, and challenges your creative and independent thinking. You'll find a commitment to social justice and to making a difference in the world. And you'll meet our remarkable students who are fulfilling their aspirations for their lives and careers.

I encourage you to browse our website and to become acquainted with our degree programs, each of which integrates academic and experiential learning: the B.A. in Liberal Studies, the M.A. in Education, the M.A. in Clinical Psychology, the M.A. in Organizational Management, and the Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. Other exciting new degree programs are currently being designed for students in a variety of other fields.

Depending on the degree program you choose, you may be able to attend school and work fulltime, coming to class in the evenings, one day a week, or on weekends.

At Antioch University Santa Barbara, our focus is changing the lives of our students. Please explore our website and learn more about what we do and how we might be the place where you can change your life.
