Service Learning

A core AUSB value that is reflected throughout all academic initiatives is community engagement. While you earn your BA degree, you will be presented with many opportunities to volunteer along side local agencies and create positive change within the Santa Barbara area and beyond.

AUSB has a relationship with more than 100 community organizations that provide service learning opportunities for students. The BA Service Learning requirement is met by completing 40 service hours with an approved non-profit agency.

“Antioch has been the impetus for me to become active in serving the community. I currently offer my time to feed the homeless. This is something that I have wanted to do for years, and the service learning course got me involved with some very great organizations.”

– Donald Burdick, BA student, Business & Entrepreneurship concentration
