Antioch University Santa Barbara’s Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies is a degree completion program that requires 180-200 quarter units (depending on concentration) to complete. At least 60 upper-division quarter units must be completed at Antioch University. A minimum of 36 quarter (24 semester) units must have previously been completed to enter the program.

Prepare for Your Next Step Forward

Our concentrations are designed to prepare students for careers or graduate studies in psychology, human services, communication, creative writing, business, and education. Classes are offered in multiple formats: face-to-face, online or hybrid. Field experience, internships, practica and independent study round out our variety of course modalities and enable students to move beyond the classroom, to put theory into practice. In addition, students can earn credit for college level learning gained through life experience.

Through transfer agreements and partnerships with our local community colleges we provide resources and counseling services for students currently attending community colleges in our local area. Students who are not currently enrolled in community college are offered similar services and should contact the Office of Admissions. We can provide transcript evaluations to determine the amount units that will transfer to AUSB as well as assisting you creating a smooth transition into the program.
