Upcoming Seminar on Mid-Life Possibilities – June 7

wolfson-2Dr. Elizabeth Wolfson, PhD, LCSW, Chair of the Master’s in Clinical Psychology Program at AUSB, discussed how nostalgia paves the way towards the riches and opportunities of midlife on Young at Heart Radio Show on KTMS 990 this past weekend, Saturday May 31 and Sunday June 1.

The corresponding seminar for this topic, “The Road Not Taken: Mining Nostalgia for the Riches of Mid-life,” will take place Saturday June 7, 9:30am-12:30pm, in AUSB’s Community Hall. This is the final Seminar in the 2013-2014 AUSB-NASW Seminar Series. 

In her seminar, Dr. Wolfson will discuss the ways in which nostalgia can serve as a resource for cultivating substantial satisfaction, illuminating how the convergence of internal stirrings along with the developmental and situational characteristics of mid-life can offer a way to a better future. The audience will gain valuable tools to help clients, or themselves, access dreams, goals, and aspirations that generate creativity, inspire meaningful productivity, and enhance spiritual, psychological, and emotional growth.

The seminar will be geared towards helping professionals and all community members interested in exploring the potential treasures and grand possibility of mid-life.  Continuing education units (CEUs) are available
