Last month, the National Association for Women Business Owners – Santa Barbara (NAWBO-SB) awarded program chairwoman Julie McGloin with a full-tuition scholarship for AUSB’s new Women and Leadership Certificate Program. This announcement was made by Congresswoman Lois Capps and AUSB President Nancy Leffert at NAWBO’s annual holiday event. McGloin participated in a 300-word essay contest among eight other NAWBO-SB members for the $9,000 scholarship, provided jointly by NAWBO and AUSB.
The ten-month, low residency Certificate Program, which launched last Friday, January 10, 2014, focuses on the study of leadership and gender within Antioch University’s unique educational model that combines applied and experiential learning. AUSB and NAWBO are proud to provide opportunities for women to continue to develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in various leadership contexts.
AUSB offers its congratulations to McGloin and best wishes in all her future endeavors.
