AUSB’s Dr. Wolfson to present at Society for Humanistic Psychology Conference


conferenceDr. Elizabeth Wolfson, Chair of the MA in Clinical Psychology Program, will be presenting at the 7th Annual Society for Humanistic Psychology Conference, which will be held March 13-16 at Sofia University in Palo Alto.

In keeping with the conference theme of Human Dignity & Humanistic Values, Wolfson’s will speak on “Creativity in the Land of Opportunity: Optimizing Midlife Transformation.”

Elizabeth Wolfson, PhDElizabeth Wolfson, PhD, LCSW is Chair of the Masters in Clinical Psychology program at Antioch University Santa Barbara, and has been a licensed practicing psychotherapist for twenty seven years.  She served as Clinical Director in agency settings for over two decades and taught at Columbia University School of Social Work for ten years.  Dr. Wolfson was editor of the Psychotherapy section of from 2010-2012 and is the author of several published articles. Dr. Wolfson has published and presented on the topic of Healthy Aging and developed the Concentration in Healthy Aging at Antioch University which won an AARP and Central Coast Commission for Seniors award in 2011. Dr. Wolfson is an innovator of Santa Barbara Village (a membership organization supporting elders in their homes), is Vice President of Professional Development on the Board of the National Association of Social Workers, Santa Barbara Chapter,  and in addition to her academic responsibilities, maintains a private practice of psychotherapy in Santa Barbara, California.
