At one table you could taste hummus and pita; at the next table you could try cornbread and chili; at another fresh guacamole and tortilla chips; and that was just the beginning of the line. For the second year, Antioch University Santa Barbara co-hosted the International Food Fair in relationship with SBCC’s International Student Ambassadors organization on Friday, April 18.
Atop AUSB’s sunny roofdeck, students from AUSB and SBCC – with ties to all corners of the globe – were able to sample and appreciate free and delicious food from different cultures. They sat at patio tables while a student DJ filled the air with an eclectic mix of music. In addition to the food, raffle tickets were sold to support DirectRelief, an international emergency medical relief organization.
AUSB firmly believes in the vitality and importance of cultural diversity in building just and inclusive communities, locally and around the world, and was grateful for the opportunity to support this event.
